The trial structure for Experiment 3 consisted of an intertrial fixation cross preceding stimulus presentation with a colored rectangle (blue or red) cueing participants to either the magnitude or parity task, followed by accuracy feedback. The color of the numbers indicated which number participants needed to attend to (black = task relevant, grey = task irrelevant).
