• Written in language other than English. • Studies conducted in acute care or transitional care settings. • Studies conducted in the community setting. • Studies prior to 2011 were excluded to give account of existing models and processes. • Studies related to governance and occupational health, as the aim was to explore practice and processes relevant to shared decision-making in care homes |
