Antigen processing of M. bovis BCG by monocyte-derived macrophages. Monocyte-derived macrophages were treated with either N-Cbz-Leu-Leu-leucinal (CLLL; 10 μg/ml), cytochalasin D (CYT D; 10 μg/ml), brefeldin A (BFA; 10 μg/ml), or antibodies against HLA-A, -B, or -C (W6/32; 5 μg/ml), CD1 a, b, or c (5 μg/ml), or an isotype control antibody (IC; 5 μg/ml) before MACS-purified antigen-specific CD8⁺ T cells were added and cellular cytotoxicity was measured by a 6-h ⁵¹Cr release assay. The results are expressed as mean values for 10 donors ± standard deviations.
