The main risk factors for gastric cancer. Environmental factors influence the gut microbiome and can lead to dysbiosis, one of the main causes of tumorigenesis. H. pylori infection is a shared risk factor between gastric cancer and diabetes, with diabetes being a risk factor for gastric cancer on its own. Similarly, Fusobacteria are a common risk factor for obesity and gastric cancer, with obesity on its own being a risk factor for gastric cancer. Created with BioRender.com.
