Nosustrophine regulates HDAC activity and HDAC3 expression. HDAC activity was measured in wild-type and young (3–4-month-old) (A) and older (8–9-month-old) (C) 3xTg-AD mice (n = 4 animals per group). HDAC31 mRNA levels were also measured by qPCR in wild-type and young (B) and old (D) 3xTg-AD mice. Results are expressed as fold-change compared to saline-treated wild-type- or trigenic mice.
