(B) The percentage of parasites after 72 h in the presence of the drug (i.e., 96 h of growth) indicates that the most effective concentrations were 30, 40, and 50 µM. (C) After removal of the drug from the medium, the percentage of parasites indicates an increase in the number of epimastigotes. (D) Epimastigote viability after 72 h of treatment. The percentage of viable parasites was similar, except in the presence of 50 µM. The data are the average of three independent experiments in triplicate (***p < 0.001).
