(A) HCT116 cells were stimulated with 0, 0.1, 0.2, and 0.3 μM of PPT for 48 h. Total cell lysates were collected and the protein levels of p38 and p-p38 were analyzed by Western blot. Actin was used as the internal control. (B) HCT116 cells were pre‐treated with 5 μM SB203580 for 3 h and then treated with or without 0.3 μM PPT for 48 h. Cell viability was analyzed by the MTT assay. The results are shown as the means ± SD of three independent experiments. ***p < 0.001 compared to the control group; ###p < 0.001 compared to the PPT-treated group.
