(B) Western blot with anti-c-myc, anti-cyclin D1, and anti-β-actin (loading control) antibodies on extracts of RPMI-8226 cells incubated with either DMSO (vehicle) or MRBE (20 and 40 μg/ml) for 15 h. (C) Cell viability of RPMI-8226 cells and MM.1S. Cells were incubated for 48 h in 96-well plates. To calculate the inhibition of cell growth, the value at time 0 was subtracted. The results represent the mean ± SD of three independent experiments. *p < 0.05 and **p < 0.01, compared with the DMSO control.
