Two examples of human-selected features that were reconstructed in a linear manner from the neural network feature space: age estimation neural network features (left) and sex classification neural network features (right). Even though the networks were trained separately, both networks possess a similar ability to reconstruct specific human identifiable features, which are non-linear in nature (average RR interval in the upper panels and maximum R-wave amplitude in the lower panels).
