KLF2 overexpression promotes lipid efflux from THP-1 macrophage-derived foam cells. (A) The cholesterol efflux in ox-LDL induced THP-1 derived macrophages transfected with pcDNA3.1-KLF2 was analyzed by liquid scintillation counting. (B) The expression of cholesterol efflux related proteins in ox-LDL induced THP-1 derived macrophages transfected with pcDNA3.1-KLF2 was determined by western blotting. (C) The mRNA expression of ABCA1, ABCG1, SR-BI, PPARγ and LXRα in ox-LDL induced THP-1 derived macrophages transfected with pcDNA3.1-KLF2 was tested with RT-qPCR. ^*P<0.05, ^**P<0.01 and ^***P<0.001.
