Low-dose E2 inhibits vimentin protein expression by human fibroblast cells. Human fibroblast cell line M1 was treated with 40 ng/mL of IFN-γ or 40 ng/mL of IFN-γ plus 5–50 nM of E2 overnight at 37 °C. (A) Immunofluorescence assay was performed as described in the methods.
