Study name	The effect of L‐carnitine and erythropoietin on anemia in hemodialysis patients
Methods	Parallel RCT
Participants	Inclusion criteria: < 30 years, history of at least 6 months of dialysis Exclusion criteria: active infectious or inflammatory disease
Interventions	Intervention group 1 EPO (SC): 2000 IU 3 times/week L‐carnitine placebo (oral): daily for 3 months Intervention group 2 EPO (SC): 2000 IU 3 times/week L‐carnitine (oral tablet): 20 mg/kg/day
