Preparation of the hyperglycemic neurovasculature‐on‐a‐chip (NV chip). A) NV chip concept to study hyperglycemia‐induced neurodegeneration by mimicking the neurovasculature in the diabetic brain. B) Schematic of the NV chip. First, ReN cells were mixed with collagen/Matrigel solution and seeded onto the inner chamber of the NV chip. After 7 days of pre‐culture, hBMECs were seeded in the middle channel to establish a monolayered brain microvasculature.
