N-acetylcysteine inhibits the effects of SARS-CoV-2 mosaic (S-E-M) protein on Nf-κB and ERK1/2 activation. Differentiated U937 macrophages were incubated with N-acetylcysteine (NAC) at 16 µM for 144 h or with the TLR2 inhibitor oxPAPC 30 µg/mL for 1 h, followed by the stimulation with recombinant SARS-CoV-2 mosaic (S-E-M) protein for 24 h. Protein expression was measured by western blot. Representative blots are shown from n = 3 independent experiments. Data are presented as scatter dot blots with median and interquartile range values.
