Magnetite contents of BIONs and ION@CMD6.25 to 125, determined by comparing the magnetite peak area (660 cm−1) and maghemite peak area (710 cm−1). For ION@CMD250, no iron oxide peak could be measured due to the thick CMD coating. The mean diameter was determined via TEM and Scherrer equation and IEPs.
