In all habitats but the Římov Reservoir, CryptoB-targeted flagellates showed significantly higher bacterivory rates (two-tailed paired t-test; significance indicated by stars above the columns, *p > 0.05, **p > 0.01) than the average rates detected for all HNF or the CRY1 lineage, while differences in average uptake rates between the latter flagellate groups were insignificant. Error bars show the standard error of the mean; NS not significant.
