The correlations between the indexes and MAFLD groups in quartile groups were analyzed by univariate and multivariate logistic regression. Data were expressed as number (percentage) and analyzed by chi-square test for categorical variables.

compared with quartile 1 of predictors, *P < 0.05; compared with quartile 1 of predictors, aP < 0.05; compared with quartile 2 of predictors, bP < 0.05; compared with quartile 3 of predictors, cP <0.05.

adjusted OR: the values of ORs after adjusting for age and gender in FLI and WTI or age in LAP.

MAFLD, metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease; OR, odds ratio; T2DM, type 2 diabetes mellitus; FLI, fatty liver index; LAP, lipid accumulation product; WTI, waist circumference-triglyceride index.
