Fig. 6. 2D ZQ pH2 HP spectrum of a urine extract in CDCl3. Each complex of an analyte and the active catalyst [Ir(H2)(IMes)(mtz)3] gives rise to two opposite phase doublets at the same ZQ frequency. Chiral analytes (i.e., Nic, Cot, and 3HC) can combine with the catalyst in two ways due to the stereogenic center on iridium in the complex, forming two diastereomers with different physical properties.
