Panel A: MAPT sequence homology was analyzed against human (776aa and 833aa) for cat (778aa), elephant (760aa), dog (869aa), rat (750aa), mouse (749aa), and opossum (860aa) all taken from the database presented in Supplementary Figure 1. It included homology (identity and similarity) for the complete MAPT sequence relative to human MAPT, exons 1–4 representing the N-terminal, exon 4a, exon4a-L and exons 9–13 representing the C-terminal including the MTBD. Panel B: matrix identity for exon 4a. Panel C: matrix identity for exon 4a-L.
