a) Structural super-position of TBP(red) bound TATA-less U1 promoter (cyan/blue) on to TBP (grey) bound to TATA box sequence (PDB: 1YTF)(Tan et al.,26). The comparison shows that TBP binds to the TATA-less sequence in a canonical fashion and bends the DNA by 90°. b-e) Cartoon representation of the individual structures of SNAPc subunits SNAPC1, 3, 4 and 5 displaying its secondary structure elements as labelled.
