^aBSMC monolayers grown in 11-mm-diameter culture tubes were infected with 10⁶ IFU of C. trachomatis D/IC Cal 8 or C. pneumoniae TW-183. Mock-infected cells were inoculated with a suspension of lysed BGM cells.
