Age, IBS symptom severity score (IBS-SSS), Bristol stool scale score, IBS quality of life (IBS-QoL) score, anxiety score, and depression score were tested with the Mann-Whitney U test. Body mass index (BMI) was tested with an independent-sample t test. Gender was tested with Pearson’s chi-square test.
