The drug effect parameter a is estimated using model (4) by fixing k=1e6 µm2, A0 = 200 µm2, and the growth rate of the control is set as r=0.0240 (0.0042). The overall growth rate of treated colonies is rtreat =r-a and growth inhibition is calculated as % GI=(1-(rtreat/r)) ×100. * Note that while calculating GI value for P20, H25P20, H50P20, as value of r<a, r-a becomes negative resulting in %GI>100, which is rounded off to 100%.
