Differentially accumulating compounds were identified using thresholds of VIP (variable importance in projection) ≥ 1 and fold change ≥ -1 (up-regulated) or ≤ 1 (down-regulated) in CK (transgenic Arabidopsis with empty vectors) compared to GlPS1(transgenic Arabidopsis with 35S:GlPS1). The mean and SD values for the peak area of each metabolite are listed. A two-tailed Student’s t test of the means was performed and p values which were over 0.05 (indicating non-significance) have been indicated in bold
