Incidence rates (cases per 1000 persons) for influenza-like illnesses (ILI; InfluNet surveillance system of the Italian National Health Institute), and corresponding excess incidence rates calculated for 2020–2021 and 2021–2022 compared to the averages for 2017–2020. Comparisons between seasonal incidence rates were performed by means of analysis of the variance (ANOVA) with post-hoc test of Dunnet, assuming reporting season 2017–2018 as the reference one.
