Hybridization of msa-1 genes in strains Mo7 and R1A. Genomic DNA was extracted from B. bovis strains Mo7 and R1A and digested with BamHI or EcoRI. Blots were probed with the digoxigenin-labeled oligonucleotide msa1-f (Fig. 1A), specific for the 5′ end of msa-1, and hybridization was detected by chemiluminescence.
