Viability assay in Vero cells treated with P. granatum ethanolic extracts (PLE and PPE). (A,B) Vero cells were treated with different concentrations of pomegranate extracts (25 µg/mL, 50 µg/mL and 100 µg/mL). The cells were collected 24, 48 and 72 h post-treatment. The cell viability was carried out as described in Section 2 and graphically reported as proliferation index (%). (C) Cytotoxic effect of acyclovir against Vero cells. The cells were treated with 1, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500 µM of ACV and the cellular viability was tested 24 h post-treatment. The results are presented as the means of triplicates ± SD.
