(A) Incisor leveling (incisor step) was measured as the distance between the most incisal point of the lateral incisal edge to the same point on the central incisor on each side (right and left); a +0.5-mm step is indicative of an adequate relationship between the central and lateral incisors. (B) Incisor mesiodistal angulation was calculated using a frontal image of each patient's digital casts oriented parallel to the occlusal plane; the angle was measured using the center point of the clinical crown on the central and lateral incisors. A positive sign indicates a mesial tip.
