The bone mineral densities (BMDs) of the femurs measured by DEXA (each n = 9–25). The BMDs of the femurs were significantly lower in the OVX + v than in the sham + v group (p < 0.001). The administration of estradiol or raloxifene significantly increased the BMDs of the femurs relative to those in the OVX + v group (p < 0.001 and p < 0.001, respectively).
