Previous replication projects in psychology and cancer biology have contributed to concerns of a replication crisis in science.
The proposed protocol transparently describes the methods for selecting studies to replicate for the first large replication project in sports and exercise science.
Selection criteria considers the year of publication and citation rankings, research disciplines, study types, the research question and key dependent variable, study methods and feasibility.
