BMI categories: underweight (<18.5), normal (18.5–24.9), overweight (25–29.9), obese (≥30). WC groups: nonabdominal obesity (low WC: <102 cm for men and <88 cm for women), abdominal obesity (high WC: ≥102 cm for men and ≥88 cm for women). Model 1: gender (and age as the timescale in the model). Model 2: model 1 + adjusted for education, living alone, smoking, alcohol consumption, depression, ischemic pathologies, chronic conditions, and recent cancer. Model 3: model 2 + adjusted for WC or BMI, respectively.
