^aOnly a summary of the findings collected for MHC class II^−/− DC-immunized mice is presented. DCs were isolated from MHC class II^−/− mice, pulsed with B. burgdorferi, and adoptively transferred into syngeneic mice. Protection studies were performed as described in Materials and Methods. Sera were collected 21 days after challenge, and the presence of anti-OspA and anti-OspC Abs was determined by an ELISA. WT, wild type.
