Study design of in vitro silencing of PPAR-γ. To investigate SP effects in inducing apoptosis and autophagy pathways through PPAR-γ signaling, U87 cells were seeded and after 24 h, stimulated with PPAR-γ or Ctr siRNA for 6 h. Then, fresh basal medium contained SP at different concentrations was added. After 24 h, cell lysates were collected and used for analyses.
