Mirror neurons (A, n = 32 units) and anti-mirror (B, n = 7 units) showed significant correlation before and during social approach behavior. Anti-mirror neurons (D, n = 10 units) showed correlation before and during freezing behavior, whereas mirror neurons (C, n = 37 units) did not. Values in the Y axis are normalized Z-scores calculated from baseline activities 2 to 5 s before the onset of social approach or freezing behavior.
