Normalized magnetic field map (normalized to their own maximum values and expressed in dB)) evaluated on a plane perpendicular to the metasurface (yz plane in Fig. 3a): fed driving coil without (a) and with standard (b) and homogenized (c) metasurface. To ensure a fair comparison, the same circulating current is forced into the driving coil. As evident, both the metasurfaces are able to enhance the H-field amplitude. However, the unit-cells currents uniformity results in a significantly more homogeneous magnetic field distribution.
