Progressive decrease in Proregenerative properties and increase in Proinflammatory factors throughout in vitro expansion of MSCs culture‐expanded MSCs exhibit a loss of functional properties including immunomod cxulatory potential, proliferation, viability, migration, homing, differentiation potential, telomerase activity, autophagy, and angiogenic potential. Changes throughout in vitro culture, hypothesized to be at the origin of these impairments, include alterations in DNA methylation profile, DNA damage accumulation, morphological abnormalities, telomere shortening, oxidative stress, senescence, and secretion of pro‐inflammatory factors.
