^aC2IIa was preincubated with different C2II antisera (or PBS as a control) for 1 h on ice. Together with 100 ng of C2I, 200 ng of pretreated C2IIa was added to cells. After 3 h of incubation at 37°C, the cells were photographed and cell rounding was determined. +, inhibition of cytotoxic C2 effect by antiserum; −, no inhibition of cytotoxic C2 effect by antiserum.
