Anti-QS activity via signal inhibition in P. aeruginosa. Control well, QS signals produced exogenously and diffused through P. aeruginosa; these molecules were traced with purple pigmentation, produced by CV026 in Soft Top agar. In the presence of the sub-MICs of the compounds 3a, 5a, 6, 9a, and 10a, bacterial culture (106 CFU/mL) was used, and the QS signal diffusion zone was decreased compared with the control well (mean ± SD, p < 0.05).
