Patients without adhesive capsulitis of the shoulder were matched to those with adhesive capsulitis of the shoulder using a propensity score based on age, sex, and index year. p-values were obtained using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test for continuous age, the Stuart–Maxwell test for categorical age, and the McNemar test for sex.
