Comparison of cardiac 31Phosphorus spectra acquired from the same individual at 3 and 7 Tesla field strengths real part of the spectrum from a voxel in the middle of the interventricular septum. The spectra were apodized with an exponential filter (matched to the fitted PCr linewidth), first order phase corrected, and normalized to the resulting baseline noise standard deviation. Higher magnetic field yields higher signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). The SNR is markedly higher for the 7T data. Note that the y-axes are offset for clarity.
