Criteria used to score each student trajectory consistency

Source of inconsistency Importance Criteria
1. From data provided by enrollment and/or final academic status datasets Mild (Level 1)

• Some implausible birth date is reported

• More than two birth dates reported

• More than 2 enrollments in a year

• More than 2 final academic statuses in a year

Moderate (Level 2)

• There are skipped grades in regular education

• Birth dates in enrollment and performance datasets are different

• Sex in enrollment and final academic status are different

• Overages are greater than seven in some years

Severe (Level 3)

• An enrollment was imputed

• A final status was imputed

2. From data available on MINEDUC's open data platform Moderate (Level 2) • Student completed secondary education when they are still enrolled on a non-final grade
Severe (Level 3) • School without a name
3. From data reported by other agencies Severe (Level 3)

• Grade in SIMCE test(s) is(are) different to the grade reported either in enrollment or final status dataset in the same year

• Grade in PSDI is different to the grade reported either in enrollment or final status dataset in the same year

• Income is reported in a different grade from either enrollment or final status datasets in the same year
