BLP are cytotoxic to THP-1 cells. THP-1 cells were incubated with the lipopeptides sBLP or 47L at a final concentration of 10 nM and assayed for cytotoxicity. The negative-control compounds, 47 and Pam₃Cys, were tested at 1,000 nM. Percent cytotoxicity was determined by an LDH release assay.
