In platelets, 15‐LOX‐1 or COX‐1 might metabolize free DGLA and AA into 15‐HETrE and 15‐HETE, respectively. Both oxylipins act partially through activation of PPARs, impinging intracellular signaling and inhibiting 12‐LOX activity, which leads to the inhibition of platelet activation in response to collagen.
