Pnpt1 deletion increased IL-1β and IL-18 production in a mouse sepsis model. Mice were injected with saline (control) or LPS (10 mg/kg) i.p. for 3 h followed by i.p. administration of ATP (100 mM in 100 µl, pH 7.4). Plasma and peritoneal fluid were harvested 1 h after ATP treatment for cytokine ELISA analysis.
