Reovirus-induced upregulation of cytokine transcripts in the brain is dependent on NF-κB p65 expression in neural cells. Wild-type (WT) and Nsp65^−/− (KO) newborn mice were inoculated intracranially with 10 PFU of reovirus T3SA+ or PBS. Cortices were removed at 6 days postinoculation, RNA was isolated, and transcript levels were determined by quantitative RT-PCR. Samples were matched for viral titer.
