Panel (a) depicts a higher average number of recalled positive vs. negative words from each encoding task, and a higher average number of words recalled from the self-reference task overall. Panel (b) demonstrates that higher BDI scores were associated with poorer recall of positive words but slightly better recall of negative words from both encoding tasks.
