Table 2.

The proposed methods and their descriptions.

Method Description
Traditional RF model (M1) An RF model in which the average value of all variables at the county level is used as the training sample.
RF model with a partition (M2) Two RF models based on the threshold of the theoretical livestock -carrying capacity; the average value of all variables at the county level is used as the training samples.
RF model with CSFs (M3) An RF model in which the average value of all variables at the group level (cross-feature extraction method) is used as the training sample.
RF model with partition and CSFs (M4) The RF models, based on the threshold of the theoretical livestock-carrying capacity; the average value of all of the variables at the group level (cross-feature extraction method) is used as the training sample.
