Effects of whey protein isolate (5 g/100 ml water) or β-conglycinin (5 g/100 ml water) intake on blood glucose levels (A, E), plasma insulin levels (B, F), daily food intake (C, G), daily water intake (D, H) and body weight changes (I, J) in C57BL6J mice fed a chow. Basal body weights in mice were 19.9g ± 0.1g (controls) and 19.8 ± 0.1g (whey group), respectively. The relative amount of mRNA is shown as fold-change of the mean value of the control group in C57BL6J mice fed a chow.
