Although the principal coordinate analysis plot of unweighted UniFrac distances of fecal microbial communities (left panel) showed clustering patterns based on individual animals, the principal coordinate analysis plot of weighted UniFrac distances of fecal microbial communities (right panel) demonstrated clustering patterns that separated samples immediately following metronidazole administration (week 4) from those collected at other time points.
