Authors Year Type of Study Outcome Comments

[9 2004 Retrospective study Patients who received the treatment early (within three days) had a better chance (75%) of complete recovery than those who received the treatment 4-7 days later (48%) and (30%). The recovery rate and the earliness of receiving the treatment were directly proportional to each other.
